ORLANDO/WEST PALM BEACH – (April 24, 2014) – McCraney Property Company (MPC) announced that it has hired Jerry Benson as Asset Manager in the company’s Orlando office. Benson has more than 15 years of experience managing more than $980 million in investment-grade assets in the southeastern United States.
Benson is involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations of the MPC industrial portfolio, including accounting, budgetary planning and execution, lease administration, customer relations, broker relations, maintenance and repair and security.
“Jerry’s proven track-record and Central Florida experience will help manage the company’s aggressive Orlando expansion,” said Steven E. McCraney, SIOR, CCIM, President and CEO of McCraney Property Company.
Prior to joining MPC, Benson was involved with the purchasing of more than 35 assets with a value exceeding $580 million, ranging from office to multi-family product types. He has also led the disposition process in selling more than $210 million worth of assets, creating significant returns for investors.
“I am looking forward to accelerating the growth of McCraney Property Company’s expansion plans in the Central Florida area,” said Benson.
His experience ranges from property management, financial underwriting, broker reviews, site selection, due diligence oversight, construction reviews, lease analysis, investment management, and disposition analysis and completion.
Benson received two bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from Central Washington University in Washington State. He is a resident of Orlando.
